Netherlands for EMA

An offer you can’t refuse

An online bidbook

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) will move to another Member State following the UK’s decision to leave the European Union (EU). As a principal regulatory agency, EMA plays a crucial role within the EU pharmaceutical system for the authorisation, maintenance and supervision of medicines for the treatment of a wide range of diseases. Together with the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport we created an online bid for relocating EMA to the Netherlands.

From London to…

Amsterdam Metropolean Area

We created an online bid to let EMA employees, EU officials and journalists know that the Netherlands is the top candidate as a new home for EMA. We make clear that the Netherlands facilitate a seamless transition from London to the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. We reassure that we are there to help EMA continue its operations without interruption. Besides an outstanding geological location, beneficial business climate and a stable political position, the Netherlands is a great place for expats to live and raise a family.
Since we are neighbours and our cultures are not that different, a transition doesn’t have to be very disruptive. The Netherlands is very international orientated and we are one of the happiest countries on earth. With outstanding public transport, international airport Schiphol, a solid healthcare system and top universities, the Netherlands make a strong case.

Stand out

To design and build a digital bid for the national government asked for a lot of creativity. All government communication is developed according to strict design-guidelines. Because it was a bid, we had to stand out and make something better than our competitors. We created a digital bid in line with the recognizable government-identity, enriched with fresh colors, a dynamic layout, catchy visual elements and classy transitions.

A tailormade publishing tool

Since the content of the bid was still under construction we designed and built a modular system that allowed us to create almost instantly webpages. Easily different elements can be combined, like copy, graphics, images and video’s. To add something extra to the reading experience, these elements move in different speeds while scrolling.

Conclusion

EMA found a new home

We are pleased to announce that EMA is coming to the Netherlands. And that we could contribute to present our country as the best candidate. The next phase is to inform, comfort and support EMA, it’s staff and their families in the coming transition. Really give them a warm welcome and provide a soft landing.
